Volume 11 Issue 1

Greeting in His Name,
Here we are about to close out the first month of the year. And before we know it we will be saying it's Thanksgiving and Christmas already? Actually, I've asked God to slow time down just a bit. I need to absorb my days, hours, minutes, and seconds. I need things to just remain still for a minute. It's so easy for time to get away from us, so I encourage you to take hold of those things you desire to do and make them happen. Know this - God is surely with you. He won't leave you nor will He forsake you; especially when you seek to do things to bring Him Glory. Today's blog is entitled Are You Sure? Hope you find some inspiration, conviction, and queries.
shalom and love,
heidi
Do you remember the old Sure deodorant commercial? “Raise your hand if you’re sure.” People hopping and skipping through the commercial raising their hand because they were 100% sure their hygiene was intact. As I did a little research on this product I found some guarantees the consumer could expect if they used the product: Apply it in the morning and forget about it, be Superprotected-be 100% Sure. I thought about these statements and how closely related they could be to our own reliance on the Word of God. Apply it in the morning and forget about it. Proverbs 8:17 KJV I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Isaiah 26:9 NCV My soul wants to be with you at night, and my spirit wants to be with you at the dawn of every day. When your way of justice comes to the land, people of the world will learn the right way of living. If I apply the Word early, before I start my day, God guarantees I’ll find Him. Yes for some this may be a struggle but I ask you to put your best foot forward. Don’t you want to be more sure this year? More sure of your walk with the Lord? More sure of your heart towards the Lord? I have found with most Christians we just flat-out make excuses and stir around in our pot of laziness until oops, the BIG problem is there and now I have to search for God’s help. Don’t wait until a problem arise to seek Him, seek Him now. To overcome laziness, idleness, selfishness or whatever else is hindering you from seeking God, push - Pray Until Something (Amazing) Happens (In You) - and press to the point of breaking bad habits in order to receive the promises of God. Philippians 3:14-15 NCV I keep trying to reach the goal and get the prize for which God called me through Christ to the life above. All of us who are spiritually mature should think this way, too. And if there are things you do not agree with, God will make them clear to you. Don’t give up. Let God clear your vision for your day, your week, your month, your year. Let’s seek Him NOW while He may be found.
God shared with me before I entered the New Year that this year is a Year of VICtORY! He gave me scripture from 2 Chronicles 17-20 (Awesome passage of scripture, read it when you get a chance). God explained to me that it would be nothing new that He would be asking of His people to do... but to do it (seek Him) with every bit of might we have. In that gung ho, enthusiastic, dedicated approach we would see the King. We will see scripture come to light in our everyday walk. If you are sure you want to see the King, then know it’s time for some sacrifice seeKING. Isaiah 1:18-20 KJV Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Let’s take a look at the later part of the statement motioned earlier, and forget about it. I don’t mean literally forget about what you have obtain from God in your seeKING but trust Him that no matter what a day may bring, it is in His hands. Know that God is your refuge and help and that you can simply cast every care upon Him because He says He cares for you. To be honest, some things we need to just forget about because the enemies goal is that our mind be delusional and filled with confusion and worry to the point of not trusting God. It is a GOoD habit to laugh at that enemy. I do believe that our God has our best interest at heart and that He will not let us go in to a place that He does not already have the way of escape mapped out. So really pray, spend quality time in His presences, relax in His care and just forget about it.
Lastly Is every part of you sure? Your mouth, your heart, your mind, your walk. Let's take a look at your mouth, Psalm 45:1 AMP MY HEART overflows with a goodly theme; I address my psalm to a King. My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer. Your words bring life or death. Know this, there is so much power in what you say and who is listening. This psalm says my words are being brought before a King, so it is most important that I am sure of what I am speaking. With some issues, problems, circumstances it’s just merely opening of your mouth and speaking into the atmosphere that change will come. Your heart, Proverbs 3:5 KJV Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. I see revelation in heart and understanding being in the same sentence. It is plausible that our heart matters can dictate our mind matters. Our hearts can get engaged in things that bring about feelings that will lead our understanding in the wrong way. For example a girl meets a guy and if that guy is not up front that he wants to be just friends that girl can misunderstand and end up hurt because her heart dictated something different to her mind. What I believe God is trying to save us from here is heart-aches and mind-aches, and not just in relationships but in our everyday life activity. If we continue to keep our trust in Him the scripture goes on to say He will direct our path. Your mind, Philippians 2:5 NCV In your lives you must think and act like Christ Jesus. To take on the mind of Christ in this scripture is to merely put people before yourself. To be unselfish in your motives and actions towards others. Christ had love towards us all and that’s all He requires of us to extend to one another. The Word even says, If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? If your mind is on Christ you are less likely to fall prey to loveless acts. Your walk, Psalm 37:23 KJV The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. I believe if we keep our mouth straight, our heart right, and our mind focused then our walk will be fine and dandy. Even in the next verse of this scripture God goes on to say if I fall He will not let me be overwhelmed but will put His hand out to support me. God truly has our best interest at heart, which should help us to be sure-confident in Him. By the way, let’s get some senses involved, Psalm 34:8 KJV O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
One last thing if you are reading this and you are not sure of your salvation, then we need to deal with that before you can really comprehend and walk in the material above. Go to Romans 10:9-11 AMP Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation. The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed. Do you hear that? If you trust in Jesus, turn your life over to Him you will not regret it. You will actually be the better for it, just try Him. Yes there is a lot to learn but if you get with an anointed ministry that teach and preach Jesus, you will BE SURE!
LIFE QUOTE
"Be sure you put your feet in the right place, then stand firm."
-Abraham Lincoln
Let Us Laugh!
"A man is talking to God. “God, how long is a million years?”
God answers, “To me, it’s about a minute.”
“God, how much is a million dollars?”
“To me, it’s a penny.”
“God, may I have a penny?”
“Wait a minute.”"
Hope to see you Next Month....
