Volume 8 Issue 7 (October)

Greetings in His Name,
I hope this issue finds you well. As we countdown to the New Year I hope we are expectant everyday that God will do something spectacular and over the top for the coming year. I am hearing much noise about 2020 and it's meaning for different people. But I have resolved that God is working now in this moment and His greatness can be felt and shown through us NOW - Kairos! So don't wait till you cross the threshold of 2020 to start; start Now! As fore stated; between now and New Years Eve I hope to release October, November and December, two more to go. Hope you find some inspiration, conviction, and queries.
shalom and love,
heidi
Recognize the Great one in you. (I John 4:4 KJV)
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them [those who don't believe]: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Do you see yourself the way God sees you? Do you see the victory He has already destined for you? How great do you think you can be? Great has been defined as huge, elaborate, grand, noble. The suffix -ness means the state, quality, degree, or condition of a word. Truthfully, all of us have the quality - the state - the degree of being great. Why? Because our greatness is through Him and resides in us. We have nothing to fear when given an awesome task to accomplish. If we keep ourselves humble as a child, the work of God will not be a problem. And if we see it as that “work”; laboring for the Master, then surely our outlook on the work will be different. What we are destined to do will just flow out of us as living water. Now don’t get me wrong, sometimes the water seems slow but God is faithful. We must keep in mind our hugeness, the grandness, and GREATNESS is in us, through Him. We can’t do this without Him. If you think so, listen to the Solomon in Proverbs 16:18 KJV Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 10:8 NIV The wise in heart accept commands, but a chattering fool comes to ruin.
Recognize He is your exceeding Great reward. (Genesis 15:1 KJV)
After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. Abram thought that his greatness was going to come through his servant Eliezer. But God spoke to Abram, before he could completely put this thought in his mind, and told him that He was not only his shield but that He was his exceeding great reward. And that his greatness was not going to come through his servant Eliezer but through his own bowel. God knew how important this was to Abram as God knows everything that is of importance to us and believe me He is working it out. The impossible for man is possible for Jehovah Elohim [אלוהים], ‘The Creator’. God posed a question to Abraham later, after He changed his name, “Is anything to hard for the Lord?”. I tell you there is NOTHING too hard for the Lord. He is waiting to do great things in your Life. God spoke to me some time ago and told me that my name is GREATNESS. Well my research of the word ‘greatness’ lead me back to the meaning of my given name, which means noble, kind, sweet. Remember, one of the definitions for great is noble. God had to explain to me that His greatness was on the inside of me. He has also told me many times when I would question or even doubt, “trust the God in you”. I say to you trust the God in you, He can do some unimaginable things. This was once a email publication; now it is a blog, this was an unimaginable thing. Teaching Bible study was an unimaginable thing. Leaving my church and working in a smaller church was surely an unimaginable thing. And the many things ahead that He has not yet brought to fruition are UN*IMAGINABLE THINGS—GREATNESS!
Honour Him because He is Great (John 8:54 KJV)
Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: One thing to keep in mind as God elevates is it’s not about you. God will give honor where honor is due. I have declared and decreed for my own life I will not fight for position or rank, because I’ve seen our Great God move and man has no idea what's going on. Jesus had to explain to his haters (Pharisees and Sadducees) that God was honoring him and lifting him. The devil had nothing to do with this elevation. People may question, ridicule, slander, and hurt you but if you remain humble and let God fight your battles (2 Chronicles 20:15); you shall stand and say, ’see the salvation of the Lord’. He is Great!
Closing: Great is Thy Faithfulness
I would like to close with some information on a great hymn, “Great is thy Faithfulness”. Because y’all, God is faithful. I know in the previous blog I mentioned laziness but really I have wrestled with writing this publication. I could not get my creative juices flowing to express what God wanted for us to read in this issue and some of the others; but I have a determination. And I promised myself that I was not going to just put words on pages but I wanted meaning, depth and understanding to flow from this blog. Fruit. I believe He has done just that.
In 1923 Thomas Chisolm birthed one of the greatest modern hymns regarding the faithfulness of God from this golden text (Lamentations 3:19-24). In stanza one he writes of God's unchanging character and unfailing compassion. In stanza two he writes of God's faithfulness in maintaining the order of His universe. In stanza three he writes of God's faithfulness in forgiving our sins, providing strength for today and hope for tomorrow. Each stanza leads to the great culminating chorus that declares the victorious words of Jeremiah, "Great is Thy faithfulness." (Stephen C. Weber- Daily Encouragement Net)
As you go along during the day hum this tune; I believe you will feel like rising up and being GREAT! Great is Thy faithfulness, Great is Thy faithfulness, Morning by morning new mercies I see. All I have needed Thy hand hath provided. Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me.
