Greeting in His Name,
Isn't time flying? If it keeps moving like this, the year is going to fly by. We are already at the end of the second month and the days are just seeming to zoom into eternity. I tell you there is no time to waste. So I speak to you NOW, get up! Make something happen this year!!!! As you read through these brief spurts of encouragement; let God God lead you. With that being said, let's get to the blog Get Up! NOW. Hope you find some inspiration, conviction, and queries.
shalom and love,
heidi
Have you ever done a self evaluation? If not I encourage you to do so, but if you have - you know how it can be to get to the end of it, and it seems you are still doing what you were doing 5, 10, 20 years ago? You have been saying I’m going to make a difference this year, things will change this year, but to no avail your words just sink into the abyss. I have some help from the Word, Psalm 45:1 CEV My thoughts are filled with beautiful words for the king, and I will use my voice as a writer would use pen and ink. Let your words become poetry to the King and to yourself. Let your words motivate you to move UP. Your tongue is the pen and the Holy Spirit is the ink, so write into the atmosphere your destiny—the King is listening. As you delve into the characters below I hope you find some encouragement; as we are all trying to press our way through, in how God showed Himself to them.
Genesis 12:1-3 KJV Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Getting up may require you to get out. Get out from amongst your fellows. Leave your family. Relinquish your comforts. Till you move to that place I will shew thee. To be where God would have you be is the best place to be. Personally, I know that I am moving closer everyday to that place. The more I fellowship with Him through prayer, reading and studying scripture, meditating, and fasting, I draw closer to Him. Doing this opens me to see myself living a life of holiness and wholeness, a life of joy and peace, a life that is abundant because I have decided to get up. God told Abram He will bless him and make his name great, and ALL the families of the earth shall be bless through him. Consider yourself a rightful owner of the blessings of God. But just remember Abram got up and out, God will not expect any less from you and I. Get out! NOW.
Joshua 1:1-3 KJV Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying, Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. If you get up NOW, he will give you the land. Possessions are nothing for God to give. The Lord tells us if we seek Him and His righteous, everything else will be added - given to us. Where we miss the mark is in our obedience. The children of Israel could have long been in the promised land when Moses was alive. But due to there murmuring and complaining - disobedience, they walked around for forty years. God was still good to them. Their clothes and shoes didn’t wear out. God feed them bread and meat from on high. He gave them water in their desert. God sees your situation, and He knows how long you have been there. If you would, look down at your feet. Look at them! Command your feet to move in the divine direction that God wants you to move in, NOW!
2 Chronicles 36:22-23 KJV Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying, Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? The LORD his God be with him, and let him go up. Don’t you know God will use the enemy or your enemy to help you get up, to help you make a move! God used King Cyrus to help His children return to the promise land and rebuild a temple. God moved the heart of the people in the enemies land to give them money, supplies and animals. Now who’s in control? Watch out, God is in control! You may ask how do I know He's in control? Proverbs 21:1 NCV The Lord can control a king's mind as he controls a river; he can direct it as he pleases. Everything that God wants you to do is unstoppable. Someone told me year ago, ‘you could be a motivational speaker’ and I instantly replied, ‘yes I could’! I know that God has a purpose for ‘heidi’. And I know He has a purpose for you. Has it been easy getting there? No. But what I do know is the Greater One is in me and I can do anything through Him and so can you.
1 Corinthians 3:8-9 KJV Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. It would seem that verse 7 should be placed behind these verses, so then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. It is always in order to get out and share the Word. God has given us all a work for Him in the garden of life. I may be the one to share the Word, another may be the one who brings understanding, but it is God who will give you the wisdom to use His Word in every area and discourse of your life. Find a way to make your Father known. One thing I use to do is leave tracts in hotels, restaurants, restrooms, and even give to the attendant at drive-thru’s. He just need willing vessels, who knows how God will increase your efforts.
In closing I have encountered many people who have experienced trauma in their spirit so severe that it has caused spiritual paralysis. I can identify with them because I have experienced this myself. Paralysis in defined as “partial or complete loss of the ability to move or have sensation in a bodily part as a result of injury to or disease of its nerve supply”. So spiritual paralysis is much like natural paralysis. If your spirit is wounded by betrayal, backbiting, lies, sin, disappointments, you name it - you’re broken. Your nerve supply, the Holy Spirit, may be cut and can’t connect to tell you to “move”. If you are experiencing this, wounds that are so deep that you can’t function, you may have to get wise-spiritual counseling. I leave this for last because if you’re hurting it will definitely make it harder to get up, NOW and move. Hezekiah Walker has a song that says, The race is not given to the swift nor strong Victory belongs to those who keeps on moving on. I don’t say this lightly because I know that the pain can be unbearable but we have to keep pressing. Look at the word NOW, spelled backwards it gives us a prophetic word, WON! Won is the past tense of WIN. Get Up! NOW, we’ve WON!

Let Us Laugh!
A Jewish son tells his father he is moving out.
The son returns a year later and tells his father that he has converted to Christianity. The father is upset and calls his friend who is also Jewish. “You won’t believe this, my son David moved out for a year and came back and told me he converted to Christianity.” His friend says, “you won’t believe this...my son Benjamin moved away for a year and when he came back HE converted to Christianity too”! Both upset, they call their rabbi and explain what happened. The rabbi says, “you won’t believe this, my son Joshua moved away and when HE came back he told me he converted to Christianity too”! The rabbi suggests they call God and tell him. The rabbi tells God that all three men had sons who moved away and converted to Christianity and don’t know what to do. God says to them, “you won’t believe this...”
Hope to see you Next Month....
