Greeting in His Name,

As I am currently reading Prayer 101, I found this statement regarding Paul's encounter with Greek philosophers, "The Greek philosophers of his day were without hope and without God in the world." (Ephesians 2:12) Are we in the 21st century like those philosophers? Without hope and God in this technology and media-driven world. I positively say, 'NO.' Hope has driven faith-filled women and men to accomplish things yesterday, today, and hopefully, tomorrow and forevermore. So with that being said, today's blog is entitled Hope for Today, Tomorrow, Forevermore. I hope you find some inspiration, conviction, and queries.

shalom and love,

heidi

Hope for today: Lamentations 3:21-24 KJV - This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. Every day is a new day of hope; what can I do today, what can I accomplish, or who can I touch? With all its twists and turns, life brings unimaginable and attainable hope. And that hope is not just for us or for what we want, but it can be hope for others. God has told us TODAY that His compassion, faithfulness, and portion [share] are for us because He has a hope in us that we will be the children He has called us to be.

Hope for tomorrow: Hebrews 11:1 NLT - What is faith?"It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen."It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see. Here is a challenge, hope for something you don't see. Hope something you don't feel is possible. Hope for something you don't have! Can your hope move your faith? You may ask how can I do that? First, I urge you to start with prayer. As a matter of fact, make it a lifestyle. Next, open your heart to see it.. believe it... and shoot for it. The word of the Lord tells us in Romans 5:5 that our hope will not make us ashamed. Hope knows it will happen, and our faith keeps it going.

Hope forevermore: Romans 5:8 KJV - But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. THAT'S HOPE! God thought enough of us while still adulterers, fornicators, whoremongers, gossipers, thieves, molesters, liars, abusers, manipulators, and sinners, to send His only Son to die, intercede and reconcile us back to Him. The scripture reminds us that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of Jesus Christ is what gives us eternal life. That's hope… hope forevermore. I can exclaim the old hymn, "my hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness" (Edward Mote, 1834).

Hope helps us see God. Just look at today as a ray of hope, especially as we enter the Advent season tomorrow. We have hope as we look to the child sent to save us and then look beyond to a day of His return to redeem us. We don't have to die in our sins and live in a perpetual hell, but we can take advantage of the blessed gift of salvation and live with eternal hope. I see it! Be encouraged to Complete Today, Start New Tomorrow, and let God Fulfill your Forevermore.
