Greeting in His Name,
Sometimes you have to let it go and move on. As we draw closer to the end of this year, it would behoove us to take an inventory of our life and see where we are with ourselves, others, and God. Asking hard questions about where we are and what we need to change or do better. It may be a challenge but with God we can do all things. And remember He has already caused you to triumph - WIN. So with that being said, today's blog is entitled It's A New Day; Let It Go! Hope you find some inspiration, conviction, and queries.
shalom and love,
heidi
Let go Yesterday: Philippians 3:12-14 CEV I have not yet reached my goal, and I am not perfect. But Christ has taken hold of me. So I keep on running and struggling to take hold of the prize. My friends, I don't feel that I have already arrived. But I forget what is behind, and I struggle for what is ahead. I run toward the goal, so that I can win the prize of being called to heaven. This is the prize that God offers because of what Christ Jesus has done. As we read this publication, we will see the importance of not looking, coming, or turning back. And who better to start with than Lot's wife. In disobedience to the angel's warning, she looked back. In her looking back, she turned into a pillar of salt (Genesis 19:26). I have heard many reasons why she looked back, but the ultimate point is she looked back. Can the salt pillar that stands there, hard and stiff be an example? An example that has proven true, often, when we look back, we can become HARD and STIFF, especially when we look back on times that tested our faith or times that just seemed hard to bear. Times that we feel we have been wronged or misjudged. These are all times that, if we look back, can make us feel and think some-kind-of-way, and I don't mean a good way. So it's GOoD to keep your focus on the prize ahead.
NEXT! My friend, the Word says, if you dismiss an unclean spirit, make sure you don't let him come back. That demon and seven other wicked demons will return, and your state of mind will be worse (Matthew 12:45). When God gives you the strength and ability to clean house (meaning self), fight with all you got to keep it clean! The enemy doesn't play! He is out to steal, kill, and destroy your Life. You can not give him a foothold because he'll jump in and take it all. WARNING! Know what you are up against if you go back. Preachers and leaders, don't put your hands on the plow and then turn back. The work God has placed in your hands is sacred and special. You can't give up or go back. People are dying. Any drug addict, alcoholic, prostitute, liar, whoremonger, or gossiper will tell you if you look back to the environment or your groupies, chances are you will GO BACK. God's hand is merciful, but you got to take His hand. Don't look back. Press… press… I said PRESS ahead. Your job is to believe in what Jesus Christ did, and you can obtain the PRIZE.
Remain in Today: Psalm 118:24 KJV This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. It is essential to make your today resourceful and stay in it to WIN it. Don't look back, and don't go too far ahead. As Jacob wrestled with the angel in Genesis 32:26 KJV, the angel said, "Let me go, for the day breaketh." But Jacob said, "I will not let thee go, except thou bless me." Fight for the blessings of today. Tomorrow can wait, and yesterday is already gone. Ask yourself throughout the day, 'Am I in today?'
Wait on Tomorrow: Matthew 6:34 The Message Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes. Planning is good. Nothing wrong with it. Indeed, I am a Happy Planner! An unwise person wouldn't plan, so plan. But make sure your planning doesn't make you anxious or worried. Don't let it push you to the point of 'I should have made this happen like yesterday' with your body in today, but your mind is stuck on tomorrow... that's a problem. Where is your focus? Anybody who 'really' knows me knows I love budgeting. Heidi spent a lot of her hours before a computer making spreadsheets, calculating and recalculating, and three or four hours later still able to go strong. God changed that. And we need to thank God for His intervention. What happened, you may ask? My computer crashed. God did not want me to not budget, but He wanted me to not consume so much time with it. The time I could have spent with Him. Sure I missed those colorful sheets to plug into, but now I have more time to plug into God. God knows our tomorrow, and as a matter of fact, He is already there... Jeremiah 29:11.
What does 'let it go' mean? Imagine with me, if you will, you and God holding a stick. God turns to you and says, "let it go" What do you do? You take your hands off. Look! Whose hand is still on it? God's! Letting go is taking your hands off, allowing God to give this thing some hands-on experience. Can't nobody work on something like God! When you take your hands off, please keep your mouth on it. How? In Prayer.
It's a New Day! What a revelation He gave me about this New Day. Look at the middle word in each section. Go-In-On. Put together; there is a hidden message about how to get to this New Day. Can you see the revelation—going on? We are not here to exist but re–exist, if I can coin a word. 'Re-' means to start anew or again. Exist means to live. So let's live anew... re-exist. And if you feel like me with some life experiences, let's start all the way over, which is to re-exist. With each New Day, we must keep GOIN' ON and let needless things go!
