Greeting in His Name,
I pray that life finds you well. And I'm excited that you can partake in the reading of this month's blog publication. You know, Life is Sweet. There are ups and downs, hill and valley experiences - challenges, but they are all a part of living life. What we go through should not hinder what we give but strengthen how we give. So with that being said, today's blog is entitled What Are You Willing To Give? Hope you find some inspiration, conviction, and queries.
shalom and love,

Give Time: John 9:4 KJV I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. In the body of Christ, there is much work to be done. As society is quickly moving away from the commandments and statutes of God, we see a culture that's up for anything wrong and out to stop anything right. The needs that fill this globe are astronomical. Look at the homeless man on the corner asking, Will Work for Food?, the mother abused and left by a mate with NO source of help, or the family whose sole provider has lost their job in this time of cutback, layoff, closing. And not to mention, AI is becoming very prevalent in our day-to-day life that it has already begun to 'X' some of us out. I am sure folk's minds think, how will I make the bills?
To ponder even more, what about the teenage boy with no direction, considering the only way his situation can be handled is through guns and violence? Or what about girls? Teen pregnancy has been an issue for a long time, but sadly, we have a reality show, 16 and Pregnant, with teen pregnancy as the focus. There is no guard over our virtue, purity, or sanctity that God put in place so that life could be free of some of the hardships that come when we surrender ourselves to our flesh. What is society coming to? Can we do life the way that God prescribed?
The body of Christ has its work cut out for them, but are we doing the work of EVANGELISM? Can we ask ourselves the BIG question, WILL I WORK FOR CHRIST?
Christ said in Matthew 25:35-40 KJV For I was an hungred stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. This is evangelism. I've heard it said that many hands make light work. If we joined hands, we could conquer many of LIFE's problems for others and ourselves. I don't know about you, but I feel a sense of hope when I HELP.
Give Money: Acts 20:35b NIV' It is more blessed to give than to receive.' Now this is where most people have a problem with CHURCH, but what they don't understand is that they have a problem with God. If you don't believe me, look at Malachi 3:8-9 NLT "Should people cheat God? Yet you have cheated me! "But you ask, 'What do you mean? When did we ever cheat you?' "You have cheated me of the tithes and offerings due to me. You are under a curse, for your whole nation has been cheating me. You may feel you are financially strapped, and times are hard. You even convince yourself; I can't pay tithes and offerings RIGHT NOW. Trust me, even though it may seem hard to make ends meet, we have a God who promised He would meet all our needs (Philippians 4:19). If God said it, He is sure to fulfill it. It's all in the waiting, which is not easy but necessary. I would rather wait on God any day than move by my small provisional plan.
Personal Experience: I remember facing one of the most trying financial times in my LIFE some years ago. Some days I didn't know how everything would work out, lights off, counting every penny, just a really tight time. But I trusted an All-Seeing and All-Knowing God who told me He would never leave or forsake me. He hasn't. Side Note for the Single Ladies: you don't need a Mack or Sugga' daddy, or as my pastor used to say, Bobo! Your Daddy and Father is attentively waiting on you to ASK Him… so ask Him. Sometimes, God will allow us to experience an Abraham-Isaac test to see if we will trust Him. Will you release yourself to the obedience of God's Word? If you do, I know, from personal experience, that He does have a ram (arm) in the matter. Lean on Him. I bet you He won't let you down.
GIVE LIFE: John 15:13 KJV Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Most are not willing to do this, die for a friend. What about a family member? Or, show your greater love—lay your life down for an enemy. Christ did! The Word reminds us that Christ died for us while we were still in our sins. Christ, the hope of our glory, laid down His life so we-can-have-eternal-life. So it is sad that humanity can easily snuff out someone's life like nothing. Life is precious and filled with many experiences that God wants us to share with others. God made man for man. I am my brother/sister's keeper. Let us lose the self mentality that it's ALL about me and mine. God was not selfish. He gave, so let us give. It may not always be easy to share with every man, but we should make it our goal to share the love of God with every man.
Give time 'til you have no more time to give. Give money like you own the U.S. Treasury. Give your life like it doesn't matter because their LIFE is more precious. If more people gave; (G.A.V.E - Got A Victory Experience) a little MORE, our society would be better.
